8th National Youth Workshop on Culture and Heritage

The Kenya National Commission for UNESCO (KNATCOM), which serves as the focal point for UNESCO programmes and activities in Kenya, hosted the Eighth National Youth Workshop on Culture and Heritage at Milimani Garden Resort in Bungoma County from 17 to 22 May 2026.

The workshop was organised with the primary goal of promoting Kenya's rich culture and heritage while actively engaging young people in its conservation. It also aimed to strengthen UNESCO's contribution toward building youth capacity as active custodians of the country's cultural and natural heritage — the same spirit behind KVSO's own World Heritage Volunteers Programme.
